Thoughts and Beliefs.

Thoughts and Beliefs.

Navigating the diverse landscape of beliefs in our world is a complex endeavour. Beliefs shape our thoughts, influencing the individuals we become. In this blog, my intention is to look at our thoughts, beliefs, and lifestyles.

One pervasive issue hindering a purposeful life is the tendency of individuals with wealth, power, and material possessions to look down on those with less. This mindset reflects an inherent flaw in how people exert influence without considering the consequences of their actions.

Religion, with its multitude of beliefs, often raises questions. While I respect diverse beliefs, my personal perspective leans towards spirituality rather than subscribing to any specific religion. I find solace in the concept of a higher power, angels, and spirit guides, entities with whom I've communicated. Confining spiritual experiences to the structures of organised religion, in my view, diminishes their essence; hence, my mantra is "Religion Divides where Spirituality Unites."

Money and material possessions hold a significant place in societal perceptions. The notion that ownership and societal standing define personal worth is a fallacy. Possessing more doesn't inherently make one superior. It is disheartening to witness people looking down on others based on financial status. The truth is your value as a human being transcends material wealth. Empathy and compassion, regardless of financial standing, are qualities that truly define a person.

Birth circumstances, whether in wealth or poverty, should not dictate our worth. As we mature, we absorb traits from various influences, yet it is vital to distinguish our thoughts and beliefs from those imposed upon us. Learning to think independently and defining our beliefs based on personal conviction rather than societal expectations is crucial. Our lives, our journey – we should live for ourselves.

Delving deeper into self-love, understanding our beliefs, and listening to our souls are transformative practices. Loving ourselves goes beyond superficial thoughts; it involves an intimate connection with our soul's essence. To guard against conforming to others' beliefs, we must prioritise our thoughts and beliefs, trust our instincts, and respect our souls' guidance.

When we neglect self-love and dismiss our souls, we become susceptible to adopting others' beliefs, relinquishing control of our lives. The ego often dictates our thoughts, discouraging independent thinking and fostering conformity. Societal systems perpetuate this conformity, urging individuals to follow predefined paths like sheep. Breaking free from these constraints, embracing self-love, and listening to our souls require courage but lead to genuine freedom and inner peace.

Beliefs, religions, and cults have historically fueled wars and misery. If individuals had listened to their souls and followed their true beliefs, these atrocities might have been averted. True freedom and inner peace emanate from the courage to break away from the herd, love oneself, and heed the wisdom of the soul.
