Feeling Threatened.

Feeling Threatened.

Life is a tapestry woven with diverse experiences—some pleasant, some less so. In the myriad blogs I've shared, a recurring theme emerges the call to live life authentically, passionately, and in alignment with one's soul's purpose.

One early morning, at 3:00 am on a Friday, a stark reminder of life's uncertainties manifested itself. The tranquillity of my cafe and dwelling was shattered by the violent sounds of breaking glass. Startled from slumber, I rushed to the source of the commotion, shouting in an attempt to deter the intruder. A man had smashed the cafe window and uttered threatening words to the effect if you move, I will shoot you and make off with his ill-gotten gains.

As I reflected on this harrowing event, questions about the purpose and direction of my life surfaced. Why subject myself to such turmoil? Is this the life I truly desire, fraught with the constant threat of intrusion and danger?

This incident served as a catalyst, compelling me to reassess my path. The resounding realisation was clear—I needed to divest myself of the cafe, to abandon a situation that was incongruent with my true calling. While many expressed a desire for me to stay, their sentiments couldn't dictate my life's course. It became evident that I needed to prioritise my well-being and spiritual work over external expectations.

Life is too precious to endure situations that breed discontent. Whether it's an unfulfilling job, an unhappy marriage, or any circumstance that stifles personal growth, the imperative is to break free. Remaining in situations contrary to one's authentic self fosters bitterness, jealousy, and judgment. These emotions corrode the soul, rendering one a prisoner of dissatisfaction.

Having attempted to sell the cafe to pursue my spiritual calling, the sale has not materialised. However, the recent incident serves as a resounding push to intensify efforts to part ways with the cafe, even considering adjusting its price to expedite the process.

For anyone reading this, if you find yourself entangled in an unsuitable profession, marriage, relationship, or any circumstance that stifles your true essence, the call to action is clear—extricate yourself now. Life is a transient journey meant to be lived authentically and passionately. Pursue what you love, embrace the now, and liberate yourself from the shackles of discontent.

In Love, Light, and Blessings.
