Do we really need to be so connected?
Humanity has achieved remarkable progress, mastering numerous technologies that have positively impacted people worldwide. However, it seems we may have crossed a tipping point where certain technologies, instead of advancing our civilization, are working against it.
The constant connectivity facilitated by smartphones, tablets, and computers exposes us to insidious programs designed by corporations to hack our minds. These technologies are not just tools; they act as parasites, subtly altering our thinking patterns, fostering addiction, and making us increasingly dependent on these devices.
In public spaces, many individuals are more engrossed in their screens than their surroundings, missing out on the richness of life as nature intended. Continuous exposure to social media's clickbait and sensationalism leads to unhealthy comparisons and unattainable standards, stealing the joy from our lives, as Theodore Roosevelt wisely noted, "comparison is the thief of joy."
Depression, unfulfillment, and loneliness have become prevalent as people stray further from nature and succumb to the addictive nature of modern technologies. While connectivity has its merits, corporations have exploited it, creating a constant state of addiction to generate immense wealth. Striking a balance between the positive aspects of technology and its addictive pitfalls is crucial.
Recognizing the impact of technology on our lives and being mindful of our relationship with it is essential. While it's challenging to navigate society without these devices, using them in their purest forms can still yield positive outcomes. Technology has the potential to connect us globally, enrich our lives with knowledge, and foster meaningful relationships.
This reflection on the drawbacks of constant connectivity and the perils of ego-driven temptations is shared by my friend named Sam. Though in the early stages of awakening, Sam's deep insights into spirituality promise wisdom that will continue to shine for years. His journey of self-discovery has the potential to guide others toward freedom and a more mindful existence.
Love, Light and Blessings.
